English natural stone from Building Stone

Natural stone plays a major part in defining the character of cities, towns and villages throughout the UK and at Building Stone, we are proud of the part that we play in assisting our block processing and masonry customers to meet their client requirements.

Today, the materials processed within our sites reflect the vast appetite that the world has for high quality natural English stone, from the traditional Cotswold Oathill and Guiting stone, to our heritage Ironstone and to the beauty of Bath Stone.

Our product Range

Building stone suppliers in the Cotswolds

Our stone can be seen all around the surrounding Cotswold area adorning houses, walls and floors, and can be found in places as far away as Ireland, Japan, Singapore, USA, the Caribbean and Brazil.

Steeped in history, natural stone has been quarried and processed at our sites at Hornton Grounds and Stanleys for many years (and in the case of Stanleys for over 300 years). Although stone has not been extracted at both locations for some years now, stone processing continues to this very day.

Between our sites we operate modern self-contained facilities within the picturesque areas of the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire Estate, producing a varying range of traditional and contemporary stone products such as building stone, walling stone, architectural masonry stonework, strikingly stunning English limestone flooring, and stunning natural stone fireplaces.

Limestone and Ironstone building stone

Building Stone has continued to build an outstanding reputation among builders, architects and private clients alike for our dedicated professionalism and value.

In addition to the beautiful local stones we offer such as Guiting, Oat Hill, and Tew Ironstone and our vast resources of Bath Stone from our Stoke Hill Mine, we can also source products from other English quarries upon request.

Building Stone – the natural choice for natural stone.
