Stone capitals are an architectural feature that add detail to columns or pedestals. They also give structural support by broadening the columns supporting surface and then dispersing the weight over a larger surface area.
We use stone from our own quarries within the well-established and trusted Johnston Quarry Group. You have the choice of a variety of beautiful limestones from the Cotswolds, Bath and Lincolnshire for your stone capitals. We also offer our striking orange-brown ironstone quarried in north Oxfordshire and available exclusively through the Johnston Quarry Group.
We have a range of standard size stone capitals, designed to fit with our stone columns. If you require something a little different, our in-house design team are happy to work with you to create unique designs. In addition, if you are working on a renovation project and require a replica of an existing stone capital, our team will be delighted to help, so please do get in touch.
